BEN ALLAN ACS
DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY
Ben Allan ACS is recognised internationally as a highly skilled and creative Director Of Photography and one of the youngest people ever to be awarded the ACS letters (the Australian Cinematographers Society prestigious stamp of excellence).
His work in film has garnered him numerous awards and his work with High Definition cinematography has established Ben as an international HD master, regularly consulted by filmmakers from around the world.
Ben has guest-lectured in Cinematography at the Australian Film TV & Radio School, The KVB Institute, Metro Screen and the Sydney International Film School. He has taught specialist HD master-classes in Sydney, Melbourne, Hobart, Brisbane, Adelaide, Hong Kong, Singapore and Thailand.
Most recently, he was selected to create and implement a completely new visual style for “All Saints”, Australia’s longest running prime time drama series. Other recent projects include the soon to be released feature film “Mortal Fools” and the short film “Sexy Thing” which was screened in Official Selection at the 2006 Cannes Film Festival.
